LTI Students


Students engage in challenging leadership activities that promote teamwork, confidence and penchant for service. Students attend weekly four hour sessions each Sunday with trained MIT undergraduate mentors. Students will develop a community project that addresses a problem that they see in their community with the help of our staff.

LTI Mentors


Mentors will be in charge of reviewing the curriculum and preparing activities for sessions with students and will actively participate and engage students in all sessions. Mentors will also meet with students outside of session time in order to help them complete final projects and will help to connect students to MIT resources

LTI Executive Board Descriptions


Finance Director

The Finance Director is responsible for maintaining a record of all LTI expenditures, preparing the budget for each year and allotting money to each committee and will have to write proposals for grant applications.

Alumni Relations Chair

The Alumni Relations Chair will have to maintain the contact list of the current students during Spring Session as well as contacting and following-up on students' final projects, during and after sessions. The Alumni Relations Chair will also be in charge of planning alumni mixers and keeping track of the student blog.

Expansion Chair

The Expansion Chair will aid in the creation of LTI-in-a-Box as well as aiding with I-LTI depending of individual countries.

Secretary

The Secretary will be present at all meetings to take minutes and will be responsible for agendas, the LTI web album and gmail account and paraphernalia. Also, the secretary will document all events and sessions as well as represent LTI to the MIT Association of Student Activities.

Sponsorship Chair

The Sponsorship Chair assists the Finance director in searching and writing grants, contacting corporate sponsorship, record of expenditures, and prepare budgets for each committee.
